Slack Is Preparing Its Own Version Of Generative AI

At the Salesforce World Tour event in New York, the company announced the upcoming integration of artificial intelligence systems into the Slack messenger. It will also include SlackGPT’s own version of generative AI, built on top of the Slack platform.

The company is now working on integrating AI into the platform in many ways. It started last month with a partnership with OpenAI to bring the ChatGPT app to Slack. This part is in beta testing.

Today, the company also announced several new integrations, including SlackGPT, the company’s own generative AI variant built on top of the Slack platform.

Slack is going to bring AI to the user interface with SlackGPT to “help customers work faster, communicate better, learn faster.”

Developers can also embed AI into workflows, giving them the ability to connect to external applications and large language models to create generative experiences on their own. Just last week, the company made an updated developer interface available to the public, and this should make it easier to integrate generative AI into the platform.
