Konami and Screen Burn Interactive have released new footage for Silent Hill: Townfall. Rather than a short trailer, the developers showed nearly 19 minutes of full gameplay.
Silent Hill: Townfall takes place on the cold, isolated Scottish island of Saint Amelia in 1996, where Simon Ordell, the game’s protagonist, returns with the goal of “setting things right.”
A fog-shrouded town awaits on the island, seemingly abandoned but not peaceful. Along the way, the protagonist picks up a CRTV—a pocket television that can tune into unstable signals.
A physical map helps the hero navigate Saint-Amelie, and CRTV reveals where monsters are hiding. When it comes to fighting, Simon grabs a wooden beam and a revolver.
Judging by the comments below the video, viewers were delighted with the dense atmosphere, first-person view, nostalgic setting, and tense soundtrack of Silent Hill: Townfall.
Silent Hill: Townfall will be released digitally and physically on PC and PlayStation 5 on September 24. Pre-orders of the Digital Deluxe Edition will receive access 48 hours early, on September 22.
