Despite years of silence surrounding the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic remake, the project, according to insiders, continues to develop rapidly. According to a 100% Star Wars source, the game’s full reveal is still scheduled for late 2026.
Saber Interactive’s new director of business development, Steve Allison, hinted to a fan last week that the remake was tentatively planned for 2028, but the studio downplayed the significance of the announcement.
According to British blogger Luke Hall of the YouTube channel 100% Star Wars, citing his sources, the re-release of the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic remake is scheduled for 2026.
Hall admits that if unforeseen issues arise, the screening could be pushed back to early 2027, but for now, the plan remains in place. The premiere will allegedly mark the beginning of a full-fledged marketing campaign for the remake.
He cites The Game Awards, which traditionally takes place in December, as the most likely venue for the announcement. However, the source admits that the presentation could be moved to 2027 and held as part of Star Wars Celebration, but emphasizes that this is just a guess, as current plans still call for a reveal before the end of this year.
