Meta have announced that they will donate 15-thousand of their Ray-Ban AI glasses to Vision Ireland, the country’s national sight loss charity.
Ray-Ban Meta glasses, created in collaboration with European company EssilorLuxottica, are enjoying great demand. These devices provide people with vision impairments with access to artificial intelligence technologies that can assist with everyday tasks, such as reading text, recognizing objects, and gaining general information about their surroundings. This year, Meta’s Irish branch held a demonstration event at Vision Ireland’s headquarters, where employees of the organization and representatives of the blind and visually impaired community received practical instructions on how to use the AI glasses, and the manufacturer studied user feedback.
Those interested in getting free Ray-Ban Meta glasses from Vision Ireland can register their interest through the charity’s website or calling its dedicated phone number.
Vision Ireland will be in charge of selecting eligible applicants and then providing them with in-person training and support.
