Lenovo Introduced Legion Blade 7000K Desktop PCs With Intel HX Mobile Chips
Lenovo recently introduced the Legion 7000K desktop gaming PC, which belongs to a class now called Mobile on Desktop (MoDT). That is, it uses mobile processors to create desktop PCs.
The Legion 7000K is powered by Intel Core i9-14900HX (8P + 16E core formula) and Core i7-14650HX (8P + 8E) Raptor Lake Refresh series processors. The former is capable of clocking up to 5.8GHz and has a TDP of 190W, while the latter can reach 5.2GHz with a TDP of 160W.
Both chips are soldered directly onto the desktop motherboard. The absence of an IHS on mobile processors, according to Lenovo, improves heat dissipation. The power generated by the processor can reach 253 W at its peak.
The Legion 7000K can accommodate up to an RTX 4070 Ti SUPER graphics card. Options include the RTX 4070 Ti SUPER, RTX 4070 SUPER, RTX 4060 Ti and RTX 4060. The higher-end RTX 4080 and RTX 4090 are currently only available on the exclusive full desktop platform version with up to an Intel processor up to i9-14900K.
The first marketing images from Lenovo show that the new Blade 7000K SE configurations are significantly superior to previous models thanks to the updated 14th generation Intel processor architecture and increased memory capacity. Prices for the new models have not yet been announced
