Rivian Is Developing An Electric Bike In Full Swing

The young American manufacturer Rivian is preparing to independently master the production of electric bicycles.

Rivian founder Robert Scaringe stated at the meeting with the company’s staff that the brand’s first mass-produced electric bike is now in the active phase of development. What role is given to bicycles in Rivian’s future marketing policy is not specified, but it will be clearly easier to launch the company’s production of them than in the case of electric vehicles. Bicycles are not only cheaper to manufacture and more affordable to buy, but they are easier to put on the assembly line due to fewer bureaucratic barriers.

The move comes at a difficult time for Rivian, which has recently faced a wave of layoffs. Rivian recently announced that the company will be laying off 6% of its workforce due to cost-cutting problems due to increased production.
