A Glow-In-The-Dark Analogue Pocket Will Be Available In September
Analogue recently introduced a new limited edition Pocket handheld gaming device that glows in the dark. Originally announced in 2019 and released in December 2021, the Analogue Pocket quickly gained recognition among Game Boy fans.
The Pocket handheld has a 3.5″ color panel display and is compatible with GameBoy, Game Gear, Neo Geo Pocket and Atari Lynx cartridges with an adapter.
Now, almost two years after its release, Analog has introduced a new glowing in a smaller version of Pocket. This is a limited edition made from a special plastic that glows, resulting in starlight in the dark. The company claims the Pocket can glow for up to eight hours on a single charge.
“The body is made from our own high-quality photoluminescent plastic, contains phosphorescent compounds that take into account and store ambient light,” the company said in a statement. The accumulated energy is slowly turned off in the visible world, creating a glowing effect.
In addition, glowing in a small pocket has a stunning green color in daylight, reminiscent of matcha tea.
The limited edition glow-in-the-dark Analogue Pocket is priced at $249.99 and will be available for purchase starting September 1, 2023 at 8am Pacific Time on the official Analogue website.
