Sennheiser Releases Momentum 5

Sennheiser has unveiled the Momentum True Wireless 5, a completely wireless headphone. The new product is priced at $300.
Importantly, users won’t have to throw away the Momentum True Wireless 5 after a few years when the built-in batteries stop holding a charge. The earbuds themselves and the included storage case are equipped with user-replaceable batteries. This requires only a small screwdriver, whereas previously, replacing batteries required working through the glued surfaces of the case.
Replaceable batteries in consumer electronics are becoming increasingly common. This is driven, among other things, by European sustainability regulations, which will come into force early next year. They require electronics manufacturers to make their products more repairable. Sennheiser and other audio device makers, such as Fender and Glorious, already offer over-ear headphones with replaceable batteries. However, the adoption of this technology in in-ear headphones, which are typically assembled using adhesive to make them as small and light as possible, is slower.

There is fast charging (an hour of work in 8 minutes), there is wireless charging, IP54 protection, Bluetooth 6.0 with support for Google Fast Pair and Microsoft Swift Pair, support for aptX Lossless and the presence of six microphones.
