Sennheiser Accentum Wireless: Affordable Audiophile Headphones With 50 Hours Of Battery Life
Sennheiser, known for its audio products, has announced a new line of wireless headphones called Accentum. The company says the new Sennheiser Accentum wireless headphones share much of the same DNA as the flagship Momentum 4 headphones.
From a design point of view, the new product completely copies the Momentum 4, but the materials used here are less premium. The headband is made of hard plastic, and the touch controls are replaced by mechanical buttons at the bottom of the left earcup.
The Accentums feature 37mm dynamic drivers that Sennheiser claims deliver deep bass and stunning sound clarity. It also supports Hybrid ANC technology, which uses microphones both inside and outside the earbuds to cancel noise. A separate wind suppression mode has been implemented to ensure clear calls in windy conditions.
The headphones boast support for Bluetooth 5.2 with multipoint functionality. This means they can be switched from one device to another without having to re-pair. There is also support for SBC, AAC and aptX HD codecs for better sound quality.
Sales of Sennheiser Accentum Wireless will start on October 4. The new product will cost $179.95. From September 26, the company will begin accepting pre-orders for the headphones, which are available in two color options – black and white. The black model will go on sale on October 4, while the white version will begin shipping in November.
