Racist Trolls On Twitter Amid Musk Deal
The Network Contagion Research Institute (NCRI), a non-profit organization that studies misinformation on social platforms, reported on October 28 that it had seen a sharp increase in the number of insults by racial slur on Twitter.
“Evidence suggests that attackers are trying to test restrictions on Twitter, – said the organization. – Several posts on 4chan encourage users to succeed to increase humiliating images”.
A large number of attacks were organized from the platforms 4Chan and TheDonald, where users encourage each other to spread hatred.
Musk, who temporarily performs the duties of the general director of Twitter, said on October 28 that he won’t reinstate any suspended accounts and won’t make material changes to the company’s content policies until he forms a content moderation board “with very different points of view”.
