OnePlus And Realme To Switch To ColorOS

According to recent reports, OxygenOS and Realme UI are facing the end of support. Future smartphone models from OnePlus and Realme will be equipped with ColorOS.
According to the source, the end of support for OxygenOS and Realme UI is related to an “aggressive restructuring” of OnePlus and Realme, which will be fully integrated into the Oppo brand.
Given the similarities between ColorOS and OxygenOS, the end of support for the latter isn’t a big surprise. It has been used as a skin on top of Oppo’s software since the OnePlus Nord 2 smartphone. OnePlus has been using OxygenOS in its mobile devices since 2014. Realme has been using Realme UI since 2018, when the brand separated from Oppo and became an independent brand.
As part of the restructuring, OnePlus’ online stores are now promoting Oppo products instead of new models. Realme merged with OnePlus back in April, marking another step toward ending the latter’s existence as a separate brand. Furthermore, OnePlus products are currently listed as “Out of Stock” in its official UK store.
There has been no official confirmation of this information from OnePlus, Realme, or Oppo at this time. It’s also unclear when exactly these changes will occur and whether they will be applied to all regions at the same time.
