Global Versions Of Xiaomi 14 And Xiaomi 14 Ultra Presented

As part of the “zero” day of the MWC 2024 exhibition, Xiaomi showed global versions of its new flagships. The eldest of them is the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, which received some differences from its Chinese version. The first of them is positive and concerns the HyperOS firmware, which has received expanded support. The phone will receive 3 years of Android updates and another year of security updates. In addition, buyers of “globals” will become owners of a YouTube Premium subscription for 3 months and Google One storage for 100 GB.

Xiaomi 14 Ultra is equipped with a 6.73-inch LTPO AMOLED display supporting a resolution of 3200 × 1440 pixels and an adaptive refresh rate of 1 to 120 Hz. A panel is used that provides a peak brightness of 3000 cd/m² and supports Dolby Vision and HDR10+ technologies. Shield Glass protects the screen from mechanical damage. There is a hole-punch at the top of the display that houses a 32-megapixel front-facing camera (f/2.0) that supports 4K video shooting at up to 60 frames per second.

The main camera includes four 50-megapixel sensors, which are housed in a massive round block on the back of the body. The developers used the latest 1-inch Sony LYT-900 sensor with an equivalent focal length of 23 mm and dual apertures of f/1.63 and f/4.0. In addition to this, there are two cameras with telephoto lenses: periscopes with 3.2x zoom, 75mm EGF and f/1.8 aperture and 5x zoom, 120mm EGF and f/2.5, each of which uses 1/2.5-inch Sony IMX858 sensor. The fourth sensor was a wide-angle 12mm lens (f/2.5).

The more affordable Xiaomi 14 is equipped with a 6.36-inch AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a maximum brightness of 3000 cd/m². It is equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, up to 16 GB of RAM and up to 1 TB of storage. The device runs Android 14 with the proprietary HyperOS shell. The device has a triple main camera based on a 50-megapixel sensor and a 32-megapixel selfie camera with 4K video recording capabilities. A 4610 mAh battery with support for wired charging of 90 W and wireless charging of 50 W is responsible for autonomy.

The Xiaomi 14 will be available starting at €999, while the Xiaomi 14 Ultra will cost at least €1,499.
