Death Stranding Is Being Filmed
The game Death Stranding from the studio of game designer Hideo Kojima will receive a film adaptation. This was reported by Deadline, citing its own sources. According to reporters, Kojima Productions has partnered with Hammerstone Studios for a live-action adaptation of Death Stranding.
The picture will be fully financed by Hammerstone, and its founder Alex Lebovichi and the head of Kojima Productions, game designer Hideo Kojima will act as producers of the tape.
“I am delighted with this new partnership with Hammerstone Studios. This is a turning point for the franchise, and I’m really looking forward to working with them to bring Death Stranding to the big screen,” shared Kojima.
Death Stranding takes place in the United States of America of the future several decades after the destruction of most of the country by temporal rain.
Players take on the role of courier Sam Bridges, played by actor Norman Reedus, to deliver cargo and avoid otherworldly monsters in order to reunite a shattered world.
Death Stranding was released in November 2019 for PlayStation 4 and in July 2020 for PC. The game received mostly positive reviews from critics and users.
