ChatGPT Is Fully Released On The Internet
OpenAI reported that the beta test of the ChatGPT Internet connection function has been successfully completed, and now all users who have a paid subscription to the service will be able to use it.
The Bing search engine developed by Microsoft is responsible for ChatGPT’s access to the Internet. It is assumed that now the chatbot will only be able to work with publicly available content; Before the opening of access to the network, ChatGPT’s knowledge of the world ended in 2021.
OpenAI initially opened ChatGPT to the Internet as part of the Browse with Bing feature back in March, but was forced to suspend the feature a few months later: the platform “incorrectly” displayed content, and users quickly found out that it provided access to paid content on various resources. The feature returned to beta testing at the end of September.
Almost simultaneously, OpenAI began beta testing of the DALL-E 3 neural network, which generates images based on description. The new version of the neural network is integrated with ChatGPT: the bot can compose prompts for generation.
