Beer Brand Heineken Released A Transparent Push-Button Phone
Brands HMD, Heineken and Bodega have released a push-button flip phone. This is reported on the beer brand’s website.
The new product is called Boring Phone. According to the creators, the device is designed to take users back to a time when smartphones did not yet exist. The gadget does not allow you to use browsers, email or mobile applications.
Made in a non-standard design, the Boring Phone is quite real. It is equipped with a 2.8-inch main display with QVGA resolution (320 × 240 pixels), an external 1.77-inch screen, a 0.3 megapixel camera and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. The phone supports calls and text messaging over 2G, 3G and 4G networks. There is also a built-in Snake game – this is a reference to the fact that the phone manufacturer HMD retains the right to produce products under the Nokia brand.
Boring Phone will initially be played on social networks in the UK, and will appear in other countries some time later. Those who are not lucky enough to win it, from June, will be asked to install an application that “turns smartphones into boring ones.”
