Audi Unvieled Activesphere EV: A Car Designed For Off-Road And AR
Audi has unveiled the Activesphere EV electric cross-coupe concept. It offers both manual and autonomous control, received a suspension with variable height, as well as transforming bumpers and side sills to increase safety when driving off-road.
It will get a spacious interior where you can relax when the car is in self-driving mode. The cabin is designed in such a way that there is no doubt that Audi believes in the future of augmented reality. Passengers will be able to wear AR glasses, which will provide access to the controls of the infotainment system and the virtual assistant.
The length of the car is 4.98 m, the width is 2.07 m, and the height is 1.60 m. The wheelbase is 2.97 m. The car is equipped with 22-inch wheels. There is a luggage compartment with a volume of 346 liters.
There will be no usual screens, while the glasses will be able to track the indicators of your body.
If the driver wants to take control, the instrument panel and steering wheel will rise into place. Audi clearly expects to take the wheel only when exiting the road.
The company did not disclose most of the technical characteristics of the Activesphere EV, this is still a concept car. However, the automaker noted that the Activesphere EV has a range of over 600 km on a single charge, uses an 800-volt architecture and supports 270 kW charging. It also states that it takes 25 minutes to charge a 100kWh Activesphere EV battery from 5% to 80%. And to replenish the power reserve for more than 300 km, even 10 minutes is enough.
