Part of Twitter Source Code Leaked

Part of the Twitter source code, owned by American businessman Elon Musk, has been in the public domain for several months.

According to the publication, the incident was a rare problem for the company, because its intellectual property was at risk.

The code was found on the online platform for software developers GitHub. The social network turned to the company with a request to delete the data, as well as to law enforcement agencies with a demand to identify the perpetrator of the code leak.

At the same time, it is practically impossible to establish who could use the published information and for what purposes. So the damage from the actions of intruders is yet to be assessed.

Earlier, The Information wrote that Musk valued Twitter at half the price for which he bought the company. With $13 billion in debt, the equity grants are valuing 11 times the company’s 2023 earnings, with revenue expected to be up to $3 billion.
