ChatGPT Is Able Now To Remember Who You Are And What You Want
OpenAI’s ChatGPT chatbot has a new feature called “custom instructions” that allows users to enhance the chatbot experience by providing personalized information. This add-on aims to streamline conversations and reduce the need for repetitive explanations when using an AI-based assistant.
A new feature known as “user instructions” allows ChatGPT to remember users and their preferences from chat to chat. This feature was originally available as a beta to ChatGPT Plus subscribers only. It allows users to set unique parameters that are saved during the entire interaction with artificial intelligence.
The benefit of this feature is platform-wide, meaning any third-party application that uses ChatGPT as its underlying code will eventually have access to it. This is especially useful for mobile device users as it reduces the annoyance of having to repeat information.
Although OpenAI presents this feature as a means to optimize user requests, they clarify that this is not the first step towards creating an AI-based personal assistant capable of predicting user needs.
Offensive or inappropriate requests will be filtered out to maintain a responsible and safe AI environment.
