New Trailer for The Super Mario Bros. Movie
Nintendo and animation studio Illumination have released a new teaser trailer for Super Mario Bros., the film adaptation of the Super Mario Bros. series. The video was posted on YouTube.
The Super Mario Bros. Movie will be released in theaters on April 7, 2023. Directed by Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenich (MAD, Teen Titans Go!). The main characters were voiced by Chris Pratt (“Guardians of the Galaxy”), Anya Taylor-Joy (“The Queen’s Move”), Jack Black (“School of Rock”) and Charlie Day (“It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia”).
The video contains a fragment in which the main character needs to fight in the arena in the presence of a huge crowd of spectators. The opponent of the protagonist was Donkey Kong, another famous Nintendo character who appeared in the games of the Donkey Kong series. The mighty gorilla quickly grabbed Mario and began to beat. But then the main character used a secret cube and got a cat costume.
Donkey Kong laughed at the new image of the enemy, and for a few moments he ceased to seem threatening. But then the gorilla pulled herself together and said, “Now you’re going to die.” After that, Kong delivered a punch to the camera and the trailer ended.
