Google has unveiled the Fitbit Edge fitness tracker, featuring an OLED screen, built-in GPS, and a replaceable battery. The device is priced at $179.99. Pre-orders are already open, and sales will begin on October 27.

The new device supports tracking for over 50 types of workouts and offers real-time visual cues. According to Google, the accuracy of the built-in GPS has improved by 40%, and sleep phase detection is 15% more accurate compared to previous generations.

The Fitbit Edge is compatible with the Gemini-powered Google Health Coach. With a Google Health Premium subscription, the service analyzes health and activity data, creates personalized workout plans, and adjusts them based on the user’s schedule.

The tracker also features the Health Guardian system to detect significant changes in health metrics. Continuous heart rate monitoring and the ECG app enable notifications regarding potentially dangerous heart rhythm irregularities.

Google will offer four design options—Obsidian, Fog, Olive, and Canyon—with interchangeable bands. A special edition created in collaboration with basketball player Stephen Curry will cost $219.99. In May, Google released the screenless Fitbit Air fitness tracker for $99.
