Dbrand Introduced Stickers And Cases Something – They Make Phones Look Like Nothing Phone (1)
Not so long ago, the official announcement of Nothing Phone (1) took place, the smartphone turned out to be attractive and very original. One of the distinguishing features of its design is the transparent case back. Unfortunately, it is still difficult to find a device for sale. But the Canadian manufacturer of accessories Dbrand has found a way to join the fashionable trend of the owners of Apple, Google and Samsung phones.
Dbrand has introduced a series of stickers and cases, Something, which creates the illusion of a transparent back cover on smartphones from major manufacturers. The idea is clearly borrowed, and the manufacturer of accessories does not argue with this, publishing the following explanation on the site in its own bold manner: “Some may accuse us of stealing. Here’s our counterargument: we didn’t steal anything. <..> This is not theft – this is plagiarism, which is definitely not a crime. We checked”.
The company also justified its right to release a similar series of accessories by significant labor costs: “a lot of time” was spent on disassembling the electronics, and stickers and cases are more like a “creative rethinking” of devices. This is not the first time that Dbrand has been walking on thin ice: in October last year, after the threat of legal action from Sony, the company stopped selling bezels for the PlayStation 5 and released an updated version of them a couple of days later.
