Xiaomi SU7 Max Presented At MWC 2024
The world premiere of Xiaomi SU7 took place at the end of 2023 in China. Now the famous Chinese company has decided to demonstrate its first electric car in Europe. It is significant that the presentation platform was the MWC (Mobile World Congress) exhibition in Barcelona, and not the Geneva Motor Show taking place on the same dates.
This is Xiaomi’s first electric car. The car uses open source Xiaomi HyperOS. The OS is capable of interacting with any Xiaomi smart home devices and other gadgets, as well as third-party ones. It brings together more than 200 product categories, covering 600 million devices worldwide and covering more than 95% of user scenarios.
The car is equipped with the latest Xiaomi technology features. The Level 3 autonomous driving system assists the driver in various matters. Thanks to the intelligent charging system, you can charge your car quickly. The 16.1-inch 3K infotainment screen offers a useful and enjoyable experience.
Xiaomi is targeting a range of more than 1000 km. The 800V, 871V high-voltage silicon carbide battery, developed in collaboration with CATL, has a volumetric efficiency of 77.8%, according to data announced at the presentation. The 150 kWh version is said to have a range of 1,200 km, while the 132 kWh version is said to have a range of 1,000 km. Xiaomi has announced that the car will offer 3 engine options: V6, V6S and V8. The V6 and V6S models are already in production and have an overclocking power of 21,000 rpm.
Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun previously said that the SU7 will definitely not cost 99,000, 149,000 or even 199,000 yuan (roughly 13,800, 20,700 or 27,700 US dollars). He also noted that such prices sound frivolous and confirmed that the real cost will be higher.
