Trump Prepares His Return On Twitter And Facebook
Former US President Donald Trump plans to return to the social networks Twitter and Facebook, NBC News reports, citing informed sources.
According to the channel, Trump’s headquarters officially asked Meta on Tuesday to unblock his Facebook account. The letter claims that “the ban on President Trump’s Facebook account has grossly distorted and stifled public discourse.”
The headquarters of the 45th President of the United States asked for a meeting with representatives of Meta, “to discuss the early restoration of the presence of President Trump on the platform.” Facebook declined to comment on the situation, only noting that “the decision will be announced in the coming weeks in accordance with the developed process.”
For its part, a spokesperson for Meta said the company would “announce a decision in the coming weeks” on the ex-president’s account.
