The World’s First Smartphone With 240-watt Charging Comes To Global Market: Realme GT3
Realme announced at MWC its new flagship – Realme GT 3 with the fastest charging in the world available on the market. The novelty also boasts a 144Hz display, the latest SoC from Qualcomm and a triple camera with a resolution of up to 50 megapixels.
Within the framework of the USB Type C standard, charging of such power is maximum, nothing more powerful can be created. The charging speed of the 4600 mAh battery is amazing, 20% in 80 seconds, full charge in 9 minutes 30 seconds.
To achieve such result, realme used GaN not only in the adapter, but also in the phone itself, this avoids heating. The adapter combines three chips, each of which is responsible for a separate section of the battery charge. At the same time, charging is small in size, as far as possible for such a device.
The kit comes with a special wire for 12A, only with it such fast charging of the battery is possible. The next problem facing engineers is how to prevent the battery from heating up while charging. Initially, thirteen temperature sensors were placed in the case. Also, the cooling system covers the battery on 61.5% of its surface.
According to realme, the battery life is 1600 cycles (loss of up to 20% of capacity), while in the industry it is 800 cycles. In short, the battery and cooling system in the GT3 has been well done.
Apart from the charging technology, the Realme GT3 also has a small RGB lighting rectangle on the back. It’s called the “Pulse Interface” and can light up in dozens of different colors, such as low battery, incoming call notification, or acting as a camera countdown timer.
The Realme GT3 will be available in select markets starting at $649 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage version. It will be available for purchase internationally in May and June this year, Realme’s VP of Global Marketing Chase Xu confirmed in a post-event Q&A session.
