The Authors Of Cities: Skylines II Admitt Failure
Representatives of the Colossal Order studio and the publisher Paradox Interactive have published an appeal to players related to the current problems of Cities: Skylines II. In it, the developers commented on the unsuccessful release of the recent addition and shared plans to fix the game.
It is interesting that compensation for Beach Properties (in the American segment the price was $10) is not provided for everyone: the exception is the owners of Cities: Skylines II – Ultimate Edition (which includes DLC), since this edition was distributed not only digitally, but also in disk version. Instead of money, they will receive content – three community Creator Packs and three radio stations (the total cost is estimated at $40). The add-on itself was removed from sale and will later be returned as free.
In addition, to improve communication with the community, the studio will hold a special meeting with the participation of the most influential players representing the interests of the audience. They will discuss the game support plan for 2024.
Cities: Skylines II was released on October 24, 2023 on PC (Steam). Despite low ratings (the current rating is 53% based on 37.6 thousand reviews), sales of the strategy exceeded 1 million copies.
