Qualcomm To Release Snapdragon X Computer Processors on April 24
Qualcomm published on Twitter a short teaser video with laptops marked with the letter X, apparently hinting at the imminent presentation and launch of a series of ARM processors for Snapdragon X computers. The company encourages you to follow the news on April 24
According to rumors, the Snapdragon X series may consist of several processors at once, and not just the Elite model introduced back in October 2023. According to the VideoCardz portal, the company may also be preparing to release processors for Plus models. The chips have appeared in various leaks one way or another. Perhaps we are talking about modifications or engineering samples of Elite processors with different clock frequencies, but official details, apparently, will be available on April 24. According to VideoCardz, X Elite series processors will offer up to 12 cores. In turn, X Plus models will receive up to 10 cores. Both series are reported to support all modern graphics APIs, including DirectX. In addition, they all feature a built-in AI engine (NPU) with up to 45 TOPS (trillion operations per second), making them the most powerful consumer AI processors.
