SpaceX Prepares 120m Starship For First Orbital Flight

The American company SpaceX, in preparation for the first orbital test of the giant Starship rocket, which should take place very soon, filled it with fuel for the first time.

This was reported on the official SpaceX Twitter page.

Starship completed its first full wet rehearsal at Starbase today. This was the first time that a ship and booster were fully loaded with over 10 million pounds of propellant,” SpaceX said.

This test will help SpaceX test every aspect of the launch countdown sequence as well as Starship performance.

SpaceX Starship is a multifunctional, fully reusable two-stage super-heavy launch vehicle developed by SpaceX, designed for the cost-effective delivery of cargo and people to low Earth, sun-synchronous and geotransfer orbits, as well as interplanetary flights to the Moon and Mars.

According to SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, Starship’s first orbital test flight could take place in February. The Starship system will launch from Starbase and land in the Pacific Ocean near Hawaii.
