Samsung Unveils Black and Gold W25 and W25 Flip for China

Samsung unveiled its latest W25 Flip and W25 smartphones, which are special versions of the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition for the Chinese market, at an event in China.

The Samsung W25, which is a horizontal folding screen, maintains the classic aesthetic concept of the W series. The device has a black body with a gold metal frame, and the protruding part of the camera is also decorated with gold elements. The side is decorated with a unique pattern, which adds a special charm to this device. Similarly, the W25 Flip, which is equipped with a vertical folding screen, is in line with the design style of the W series. This smartphone comes with a gift box made of black gold. This model is also equipped with exclusive accessories such as an eco-friendly protective case made of genuine leather.

The Samsung W25 features an 8-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a resolution of 2184 × 1968 pixels, HDR10+ support, a peak brightness of 2600 cd/m², and an adaptive refresh rate of 1 to 120 Hz. There is also a 6.5-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X external display with the same peak brightness and adaptive refresh rate, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2. The device is based on an eight-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy processor with a clock speed of 3.4 GHz and an Adreno 750 graphics accelerator. The RAM of the LPDDR5X standard is 16 GB, and the built-in UFS 4.0 storage is available in 512 GB or 1 TB options. The smartphone runs Android 14 with One UI 6.1.1 interface and supports two nano-SIM cards.

It is equipped with a powerful 50 MP camera that supports 2x optical zoom and improved autofocus using artificial intelligence.

The Samsung W25 Flip features a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity Flex display with a resolution of 2640 × 1080 pixels and an adaptive refresh rate of 1 to 120 Hz. Additionally, there is an external 3.4-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 720 × 748 pixels and a refresh rate of 60 Hz, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2. The performance is provided by an eight-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy processor with a clock speed of 3.4 GHz and an Adreno 750 graphics processor. The device is equipped with 12 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512 GB of built-in UFS 4.0 storage. The smartphone runs on the Android 14 operating system with the One UI 6.1.1 shell and supports two nano-SIM cards.

It is equipped with a powerful main camera with a resolution of 200 MP.

The Samsung W25 is priced at CNY 15,999 ($2,229) for the 16GB RAM/512GB storage version, while the 16GB RAM/1TB storage model costs CNY 17,999 ($2,508).

The Samsung W25 Flip is priced at CNY 9,999 ($1,393). Both phones are available for pre-order now and will go on sale in China from November 15.
