iOS 18.2 Will Be Able to Estimate the Time It Takes to Charge an iPhone
Apple is working on a new feature that will show users how long it will take to charge their iPhone.
Hints about the new Battery Intelligence option were discovered by 9to5Mac in the code of the second beta version of the iOS 18.2 operating system, released to developers.
Battery Intelligence will allow you to receive notifications with the estimated charging time of your iPhone. It is known that this feature is already available on some Android devices and is becoming increasingly relevant due to the variety of types of chargers, connecting cables, and different charging protocols. However, as The Verge notes, the feature is still in development, and its official release may take some time.
iOS 18 Apple has already added many new features related to battery health. For example, users can now limit the maximum charge of the iPhone to 80%, 85%, 90%, or 95% to extend the life of the battery over time. iOS also shows when the iPhone has been charged with a slow charger.
Apple says iOS 18.2 will be released to all users in December.
