nstagram Is Testing A Feed Of Posts From Verified Users
The social network Instagram is testing a new news feed, which will consist only of publications from verified users. Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri said this in an interview with The Verge.
The switch will appear in the “Followings” and “Favorites” sections and will make account verification more attractive, as it will give users a new way to take a more prominent place in the Instagram feed. Meta Verified costs $11.99 for the web version or $14.99 for the app.
“We see this as a new control tool for people and a way for businesses and creators to get discovered,” Instagram chief Adam Mosseri wrote on his channel. “Let us know if you would be interested in using it.” Despite this call, Mosseri did not disclose the extent of testing or how to access it.
Meta launched a new subscription in February 2023, three months after social network X announced a similar innovation. Subsequently, business accounts will also be able to receive the Meta Verified checkbox.
