Moto G45 Introduced
Motorola, now owned by China’s Lenovo, has unveiled the Moto G45, a 5G-enabled smartphone in three vibrant color options that costs around $150.
The Moto G45 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 chip — the same platform with a 2.3 GHz processor that powers the older Moto G85. The Moto G45 comes with 4 or 8 GB of RAM and a storage capacity of only 128 GB, but it can be expanded with a microSD card in a hybrid slot. The smartphone has a 6.5-inch LCD display with HD+ resolution, but it supports refresh rates up to 120 Hz. It has a hole-punch for a 16-megapixel camera and is protected by Gorilla Glass 3. The back panel houses a 50-megapixel main camera with an f/1.8 aperture and a 2-megapixel macro camera.
The Moto G45 has a 5,000mAh battery and comes with a 20W TurboPower charger. It runs Android 14, and the manufacturer promises a minimum of pre-installed software.
The Moto G45 is available in blue, red, and green leatherette finishes, priced at $130 for the 4GB/128GB version and $155 for the 8GB/128GB version. Public sales will begin on August 28, 2024.
