Mid-Budget Smartphone Sony Xperia 10 VI Presented
Along with the flagship Xperia 1 VI, Sony also introduced the mid-range smartphone Xperia 10 VI. The new product is distinguished from its fifth-generation predecessor by the processor: instead of the three-year-old Snapdragon 695 chipset, a slightly more recent Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chip was installed. All this allowed the model not only to increase performance, but also to gain support for video shooting in 4K format.
The developers equipped the new product with a 6.1-inch OLED display with Full HD+ resolution. A panel with an aspect ratio of 21:9 and a refresh rate of 60 Hz is used. The screen is protected from mechanical damage by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. In the area above the display there is an 8-megapixel front camera – a rare case in the modern world when the camera is located on the frame and not in a cutout in the display.
The Xperia 10 VI has a dual camera setup. The main 48 megapixel module received support for optical stabilization, as well as 2x hybrid zoom. The second sensor is an 8-megapixel 16 mm wide-angle module. The smartphone shoots 4K video up to 30 fps. The 8 MP front camera is placed in the upper frame of the display.
The Xperia 10 VI is powered by an eight-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 microprocessor (four Cortex-A78 cores with a frequency of up to 2.2 GHz and four Cortex-A55 cores with a frequency of up to 1.8 GHz). An Adreno 710 accelerator is provided for graphics processing. The device is equipped with 8 GB of RAM and a 128 GB storage drive.
The battery capacity is 5000 mAh, and the charging power is not indicated: most likely, it is the same 30 Watts.
Buyers will be able to choose between black, white and blue body color options. The Xperia 10 VI will be available for €399 starting in mid-June this year.
