Honor Magic Vs3 Foldable Smartphone Presented
At its new presentation, Honor presented two folding smartphones at once. The first of them, Honor Magic V3, is a typical 2024 flagship: it is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, equipped with three high-resolution cameras, and is also protected from water according to the IPX8 standard. The second one is called Magic Vs3 and is a simpler, and therefore more affordable, model.
Honor Magic Vs3 is built on last year’s flagship eight-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor with a frequency of up to 2.8 GHz and an Adreno 740 graphics accelerator. The amount of RAM is 12 or 16 GB, and flash memory is from 256 GB to 1 TB.
the set of cameras is represented by an unnamed 50 MP main module with optical stabilization, a 40 MP wide-angle, an 8 MP periscope telephoto with OIS and five times zoom, as well as two 16 MP front cameras, embedded in each of the displays.
The internal folding OLED screen of the smartphone has a diagonal of 7.92 inches, an aspect ratio of 9.78:9 and a resolution of 2344 × 2156 pixels. The diagonal of the external OLED display is 6.43 inches, aspect ratio is 20:9, resolution is 2376 × 1060 pixels. Both screens support adaptive refresh rates from 1 to 120 Hz, PWM backlight dimming up to 3840 Hz, and AI Defocus Eye Protection.
The battery has a capacity of 5000 mAh and supports two types of charging – wired via USB 3.1 at 66 Watt and wireless at 50 Watt.
The price of Honor Magic Vs3 in the basic version with 12 and 256 GB of memory is 6999 yuan (about $965), the model with 12 and 512 GB of memory will cost 7699 yuan (about $1060), and the version of Honor Magic Vs3 with 16 GB of RAM and flash memory A 1 TB drive costs 8699 yuan (about $1200).
