Google Pixel 8 Pro Showed Up In Live Photos
One of the Reddit users shared photos of the Google Pixel 8 Pro prototype smartphone. The images are consistent with the March renders and the May leak of a promotional video demonstrating the operation of the temperature sensor. The post has now been deleted.
The photos confirm that Google uses in the new model a configuration of three cameras on an “island” in the form of an oblong tablet, placed on a strip that traditionally encircles the rear panel. According to rumors, the round hole under the array of LED flashes belongs to an infrared thermometer.
The labels on the back panel indicate that this is a “test/evaluation only” prototype. The Product Edition field is husky, the code name for the Pixel 8 Pro. This prototype has 12 GB of LPDDR5 memory from Samsung and 128 GB of UFS flash memory from SK hynix.
According to insiders, the Pixel 8 Pro will feature a 6.7-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2992 × 1344 pixels and a refresh rate of 120Hz. The rear panel of the smartphone houses a camera with a 50 MP Samsung ISOCELL GN2 sensor, a 64 MP Sony IMX787 sensor with an ultra wide-angle lens and a periscope telephoto module with a 48 MP ISOCELL GM5 sensor and 5x optical zoom.
This should be a good indication that the Pixel 8 Pro will stay close to the design of its predecessor. Remember that the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro won’t be unveiled until October, so there’s still plenty of time to make dramatic changes to every aspect of the gadget.
