Doctor Who To Air On Disney From Now On: Talks With BBC

The BBC has announced a massive partnership with Disney that will make Doctor Who a Disney+ exclusive worldwide, except for the UK. There it will continue to be shown on the native BBC.

The BBC has announced a partnership with Disney Branded Television. In a note on the website, the company announced that in the international market, Doctor Who will be shown on the Disney+ subscription service.

“I love this show and it’s the best of both worlds – with the vision and joy of the BBC and Disney+ together we can launch the Tardis across the planet, gain a new generation of fans while maintaining our traditional home at the BBC in the UK.” said Russell T Davies.

Apparently, the showrunner was hired by a joint decision of the BBC and Disney.
