Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III Sets A Trilogy Record For “Player Engagement”
The other day, the authors of Modern Warfare 3 from the Sledgehammer Games studio reported that the launch of the shooter was “historic”: two weeks after the release, the project set a record for “involvement” of users among the games of the new Modern Warfare trilogy.
In particular, players spend more time in the new shooter compared to previous Modern Warfare, both in general and specifically in the story campaign – despite the fact that it is the shortest of the entire trilogy (about four hours).
Although reviews from critics were poor and the game’s development seemed to be rushed, word of mouth for the game’s multiplayer seemed positive, which may have led to the game’s high level of engagement overall.
