Microsoft Announced The Surface Pro Tablet
Microsoft has introduced a new version of the Surface Pro tablet – it is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon X processor, which allows the device to increase performance in certain tasks by up to 90% compared to the previous generation model. The new product also has 5G support and expanded capabilities for using artificial intelligence – the system belongs to the Copilot Plus PC category.
The Surface Pro is also moving to the ARM platform. The company will offer customers models with Snapdragon X Plus and Snapdragon X Elite processors, which in terms of performance are superior to almost all Intel laptops on the market. Microsoft says the device can last all day on a single charge, something that wasn’t possible in previous generations.
The tablet’s appearance remains largely unchanged, but there are a few key improvements. First, Surface Pro now features an OLED display that delivers higher contrast and deeper blacks. This is the first device from Microsoft to have an OLED display.
The base price of the new Surface Pro with an LCD screen, Snapdragon X Plus processor, 16 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage will be $999. The maximum configuration with an OLED display, Snapdragon X Elite chip, 32 GB of RAM and 1 TB of memory will cost $2,100.
