Sonos Will Release a Smart Speaker That Broadcasts Sound In Almost All Directions 

Sonos is reportedly working on a flagship smart speaker that could debut on the market as the Optimo 2. The device is said to come with a number of features that no current Sonos speaker can boast.

It is said, in particular, that due to the array of speakers, the novelty will be able to broadcast sound in almost all directions, including upwards. Thanks to several built-in microphones, the gadget will automatically optimize the sound parameters for the room. The same microphones will be responsible for the operation of the voice control system.

In addition to supporting Wi-Fi, the novelty will receive a Bluetooth controller. Currently, only portable Sonos speakers have Bluetooth technology support. Another feature may be the ability to play audio materials via the USB Type-C interface.
