Apple’s ‘Silo’ is Simply Transcendent Sci-Fi TV

“Silo” is an adaptation of the book of the same name from the Silo series by Hugh Hovey. Rebecca Ferguson, who also served as one of the executive producers of the series, played the title role. Directed by Morten Tyldum.

The plot tells of a dystopian future where society exists in a giant bunker hundreds of floors underground. Men and women live in a society full of rules that they think are meant to protect them.

Sheriff Holston (David Oyelowo) and his wife, Allison (Rashida Jones), receive long-awaited permission to have a child – in the bunker community, population is tightly controlled, and therefore each request for childbearing is carefully considered, and then the couple is given a certain period in which they must have time to conceive  child.
