Apple Inc. announced on Friday the appointment of Liliane Rincón as vice president of artificial intelligence product marketing. Rincón will report to the company’s chief marketing officer, Greg “Jos” Joswiak.
This appointment will likely allow the company to more effectively market its AI suite of technologies in an increasingly competitive environment.
Meanwhile, Bloomberg, citing its regular columnist Mark Gurman, reports that Apple has begun taking steps to retain valuable hardware development talent amid competition from AI competitors. Loyal Apple employees will be offered bonuses of $200,000 to $400,000 if they remain with the company for four years. The incentive mechanism is designed so that the compensation will be distributed gradually over four years in the form of company stock.
The updated Siri was rebuilt using technology from Alphabet Inc.’s Gemini artificial intelligence model.
