Microsoft Releases Windows XP-Themed Crocs

Credit: Microsoft

Microsoft has unveiled collectible Crocs in the style of Windows XP. The shoes feature a design inspired by the operating system’s “Bliss” wallpaper and comes with charms in the form of the Clippy character, the Internet Explorer icon, and other interface elements: the Windows XP cursor, the Recycle Bin, the My Documents icon, and the MSN butterfly logo.

Earlier in August, the first Crocs shoes became available to Microsoft employees. The Verge sent a request to the company asking whether they would be available for sale to the general public. However, a Microsoft representative did not immediately respond, presumably indicating the exclusive status of these Crocs.

There are no plans to sell the Crocs. Microsoft is holding a sweepstakes on its social media account until October 7th at 11:59 PM Pacific Time. To enter, just like the post and leave a comment with the hashtag #MicrosoftCrocSweepstakes.
