Garmin has launched the Garmin Venu 4, a sports smartwatch that’s ready to compete with the Apple Watch Series 11 by offering more fitness tools and significantly longer battery life.
After the Venu 3 introduced sleep tracking, the new Venu 4 takes it to new heights. The device can track the user’s consistent bedtime over seven days, meaning they maintain a consistent sleep schedule. The watch can also track heart rate and skin temperature, which, if elevated, can indicate high stress or the onset of illness.
The user can enter caffeine and alcohol consumption data to track how it impacts sleep and heart rate variability. Garmin’s built-in fitness coach can create personalized training plans for 25 activities, including cycling, hiking, rowing, and combination training. This takes into account the user’s activity frequency, recovery from previous workouts, and sleep quality.

The watch can play music without a phone, pay for purchases with Garmin Pay, and supports smart notifications. Battery life is up to 12 days.
The Garmin Venu 4 is available in 41mm and 45mm sizes and starts at $550—$100 more than the Venu 3. Colors include moon gold, silver, and black, with a choice of silicone or leather straps (the latter is $50 more expensive). Available September 22.
