TikTok Adds Text Posts
TikTok users can create not only short videos and photo series, but also text posts. The update comes amid growing competition from microblogs, which Meta has already joined in addition to Twitter with its Threads app, The Verge reports.
These posts look like regular Instagram Stories with text on a color or black and white background. You can choose the font and color of the text.
The sharing settings are the same as with regular photos and videos: add an audio track, mark a location, open comments, and allow duets.
TikTok is confident that the new option is another way to express yourself. The leadership of the social network invites bloggers to publish their own poems, lyrics, recipes and life stories.
