Oppo K12 Plus Unveiled

Oppo has officially unveiled its new K-series smartphone, the K12 Plus, in China. It’s a mid-range device that focuses on long battery life.

The developers equipped the Oppo K12 Plus with a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The panel used provides a peak brightness of 1100 cd/m². The fingerprint scanner is integrated into the screen area. The smartphone body protects internal components from moisture and dust according to the IP54 standard.

Photography is accomplished with a dual camera setup that includes a 50-megapixel main sensor and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, complemented by a 16-megapixel front camera.

The autonomous operation of Oppo K12 Plus is provided by a 6400 mAh battery with support for fast wired charging up to 80 W and reverse wired charging up to 10 W. According to the manufacturer, the process of charging the battery from 0 to 50% takes 20 minutes.

The performance of the Oppo K12 Plus is provided by the eight-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 microprocessor (one Cortex-A715 core with a frequency of up to 2.63 GHz, four Cortex-A715 cores with a frequency of up to 2.4 GHz and three Cortex-A510 cores with a frequency of up to 1.8 GHz). For graphics processing, an Adreno 720 accelerator is provided. Buyers will be able to choose between versions of the device with 8 or 12 GB of RAM and a storage device of 256 or 512 GB. If necessary, the storage space can be increased using a microSD memory card.

Available in Snow Peak White and Black Basalt colors, the Oppo K12 Plus is priced at CNY 1,799 (approximately $258) for the 8GB/256GB variant and CNY 2,499 (approximately $353) for the 12GB/512GB model. Pre-orders are now open in China, with sales set to begin on October 15, 2024.
