Opera One R2 Release: The Best Opera Browser
Opera Software is introducing Opera One R2. According to the developer, it is the company’s best and most beautiful browser to date. Opera One R2 builds on the core elements of Opera One and adds new and useful features to the flagship browser.
Opera has its own AI chatbot, Aria AI, and in Opera One R2 it has been integrated with Google’s Imagen 2 image generator. You can ask the AI assistant to create an image based on a sample or text query, but Aria can also describe what’s in the image the user has submitted.
An interesting innovation is animated themes with background music – moving images are generated on the resources of a discrete or integrated video card. The Classic, Aurora and Midsommar themes are available.
Power users will appreciate the split-screen feature, which lets you open two pages side-by-side in one window, which is much more convenient than opening two browser windows. The new Tab Traces feature lets you see which five tabs you last viewed, but it only launches if you have more than 30 tabs open, which isn’t all that uncommon these days.
Opera One R2 now has a pop-up media player that can play music and videos. The developers note that it can run in the background or remain visible.
