NVIDIA Broadcast Maintains Eye Contact Even When You Look Away From The Camera

Nvidia company has updated its Broadcast software with a beta feature called Eye Contact, which, like Apple’s FaceTime, “captures” your gaze so it’s focused on your camera. The program saves your blinks and eye color, and will even switch between digital and real eyes when you look far enough away from the center.

“The feature is perfect for content creators who want to record themselves reading their notes or script without having to look directly at the camera.” — Nvidia.

The filter works with some problems. For example, the user’s artificial gaze does not always look natural. Also, the built-in animation of synthetic eyes can lead to their chaotic movement.

Eye Contact is currently in beta. However, there are already many variations of eye colors and lighting combinations. Nvidia encourages users to share their videos if they find issues with the feature.
