Martin Scorsese’s “Killers of the Flower Moon” Will Be Released On October 20
Martin Scorsese has announced the release date for his new film, The Flower Moon Killers. The thriller will have a limited release on October 6th.
It will premiere digitally on Apple TV+ on October 20. According to some reports, the screening of “Killers of the Flower Moon” will also take place as part of the Cannes Film Festival.
The plot of the detective thriller is based on the non-fiction book by journalist David Grann. The film follows FBI agents who, in the 1920s, are trying to solve a series of murders of members of the Osage indigenous nation in northeast Oklahoma.
The film stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Jesse Plemons, Robert De Niro, Brendan Fraser and the others.
Scorsese struck a multi-year deal with Apple in spring 2020 that covered both movie and television projects. While the exact terms aren’t clear, Killers reportedly has a budget topping 180$ million.
