Jizai Unveils Robot Desk with Smart Lamp Mi-Mo

Japanese robotics company Jizai has unveiled a working prototype of a robot in the form of a six-legged table with a smart and active Mi-Mo v0 lamp. The device can follow people and interact with them using AI systems.

Mi-Mo has dimensions of 80 × 45 × 45 cm and weighs about 8 kg. The design includes 18 joints in the legs and 4 in the “neck”, which ends with a reflector. Instead of a light bulb, a 4-inch round display with a resolution of 720 × 720 pixels is installed, and signals from the outside world are recorded using a camera with a resolution of 4608 × 2592 pixels.

Mi-Mo works through the interaction of several AI models that provide image recognition, voice recognition, and motion control. The robot’s table-like top panel is removable, making it easy to place various electronic components on it.

Use cases include entertainment, retail, healthcare, where mobility and communication features are required, and educational events where enhanced human interaction is required.
