Huawei To Introduce Smartphone With A Screen Folded In Three

Huawei’s consumer division CEO Richard Yu has been spotted with an unusual foldable smartphone that has three screens and two hinges.

Judging by the leaks, the official presentation of this device may take place as early as next month.

Popular Weibo account WHYLAB posted photos of Richard Yu using the triple-screen foldable smartphone, holding it in his hands in a folded state. Judging by the photos, the thickness is comparable to regular foldable smartphones, but it may even be thinner than the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and earlier models.

The key feature of the new device is the presence of two hinges, allowing the smartphone to be folded twice. This engineering solution makes it possible to increase the size of the unfolding screen to an impressive 10 inches, which significantly exceeds the size of the displays of existing foldable smartphones (7.6-8 inches) and may become a full-fledged replacement for tablets with a large screen.

However, such an engineering solution may lead to the appearance of two folds on the screen and an increase in the cost of the device. According to the insider Digital Chat Station, the presentation of the new product is expected in September
