Elon Musk: SpaceX Will Continue To Pay For Starlink In Ukraine, Despite Losses
Elon Musk said that his company SpaceX will continue to pay for Starlink satellite communications for Ukraine.
According to CNN, SpaceX sent a letter to the US Department of Defense in September stating that it could no longer pay to send Starlink satellite terminals to Ukraine and asked the Pentagon to take over the funding.
In early October, Musk said that SpaceX spent $80 million on the supply and maintenance of Starlink terminals in Ukraine, and by the end of the year, the company’s expenses will exceed $100 million. He later tweeted that terminal support now costs the company about $20 million a month.
